The REFBAR consortium, in collaboration with Sylphium Molecular Ecology (the Netherlands), is pleased to announce the first Soft Transferable Skills Training, entitled "Business Strategy", which will take place on 14 September 2026 as a hybrid event in Groningen, the Netherlands, and online via Zoom.
This training is designed for scientists, students, and all interested stakeholders who wish to strengthen their strategic thinking and business planning skills. The workshop will provide valuable insights into business strategy in the field of environmental DNA (eDNA), while demonstrating how scientific research can be translated into practical and commercial applications through collaboration between academia, research institutes, and industry.

Morning session – Lectures covering:
- Successful stories of two companies - Argaly (France) and Sylphium molecular ecology (the Netherlands)
- Innovation models and their application in eDNA
- From research idea to commercial product
Lunch break
Afternoon session – Lectures covering:
- Scaling a business
- Business plan exercise
