Researchers from the Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy (ICTM) – Dr. Marko Spasenović, Dr. Teodora Vićentić, Stefan D. Ilić, and Miona Tomić – in collaboration with colleagues from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in North Macedonia, Dr. Ana Madevska-Bogdanova and Dr. Bojana Koteska, have received an award from the Wiley publishing company.

Their paper, entitled “Blood Oxygen Saturation Estimation with Laser-Induced Graphene Respiration Sensor” is among the ten most cited articles published in 2024.

The study presents the use of mechanical respiration sensors in combination with neural networks in biosensing, opening new possibilities for noninvasive SpO₂ monitoring and other innovative applications.
