Visit of representatives of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia to ICTM

 

On Tuesday, 13/02/2024, representatives of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia led by director Dr. Milica Đurić-Jovičić visited our institute. The meeting was also attended by the manager for programs and projects Ana Stevanović Zdravev, employees of the program and projects sector in charge of monitoring projects within the program IDEAS, assistant directors of ICTM Dr. Dejan Opsenica, Dr. Predrag Banković, Dr. Dana Vasiljević Radović, Dr. Vladimir Panić, head of the International Cooperation and Project Office of ICTM Dr. Vladan Ćosović, Ana Radulović and Branko Ćirković from the ICTM legal department. The meeting was also attended by the PIs of the projects implemented at ICTM, financed within the Science Fund programs. At the meeting, the activities of the Science Fund, past results, and plans, as well as the analysis of progress and success achieved by researchers from ICTM, were presented.

Before this meeting, the representatives of the Science Fund, together with the World Bank's experts for ethics and environmental protection, carried out a supervisory visit to the TMMagCat research team led by Dr. Matija Zlatar, principal research fellow at ICTM. As part of this monitoring visit, it was determined that the vital equipment, consumables, and all segments used during work are under the prescribed norms.

So far, ICTM has submitted 134 project proposals to the Fund's calls within nine programs. 27 projects were approved for financing, and ICTM is the leading institution for 14 projects, while it is a partner institution for 13 projects. Within 27 projects, the approved funds for ICTM amount to 279.3 million dinars (2.36 million euros).

This pleasant meeting was an opportunity for a direct exchange of experiences and ideas related to the implementation of current projects and future calls and programs of the Science Fund.
