The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia awarded annual prizes for the best doctoral dissertations in the previous two school years (2018/2019 and 2019/2020), whose solutions are applicable in the economy and contribute to the development of science, economy and society as a whole. A total of 17 awards were presented. Among the 11 winners for the 2018/2019 school year is our colleague Dr. Branka Lončarević, research associate at ICTM, who defended her doctoral dissertation Optimization of Levan Production of Bacillus licheniformis and Application in Copolymer Synthesis at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Chemistry on July 1, 2019. The doctoral dissertation was done in the laboratories of the Group for Microbiological Chemistry and Biotechnology of the Department of Biochemistry, University of Belgrade - Faculty of Chemistry and the Department of Chemistry of ICTM.
