The meeting of the Team for Open Science in Serbia, TONuS, was held on February 29, 2024, at our institute.

TONuS comprises the Minister, State Secretaries, Deputy Ministers, and a wider group of researchers and experts. At the meeting, it was decided to actively work on improving the Platform for Open Science and to adopt the updated version by June 2024. Numerous changes and activities that should be undertaken to implement Open Science principles effectively in Serbia were also recognized. The meeting was also attended by Minister Dr. Begović, who announced the launch of the Open Research Infrastructure Portal.

ICTM is very active in the field of Open Science and recognizes "openness" as one of its core values. The new coordinator of TONuS is our colleague Dr. Matija Zlatar, scientific advisor of IHTM and leader of the Transformation team within the SAIGE Institute Transformation Project.

TONuS was formed in 2020 with the mission to define, recognize and organize all the changes that Open Science brings and to introduce them to the Serbian research community as soon as possible.
