Marija Stefanović, a junior research associate at ICTM, participated in the Innovation Cup 2024, organized by Merck KGaA, from July 20 to 26 near Frankfurt, Germany. The Innovation Cup is a prestigious event designed for postgraduate students and postdocs to develop new innovative ideas and create convincing business plans for products in Merck's strategic interest areas. During an intensive one-week summer camp, participants collaborated in teams to develop and present their innovative solutions to a panel of judges. Marija was part of Team Synthetic Biology, which earned the 2nd Runner-Up position and a prize of 3,000 EUR. Merck may potentially implement the best ideas from the event.
