Dr. Aleksandra Marković and Dr. Danijela Vidaković participated in one more short-term scientific mission at the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA) in Oslo, Norway, in October 2024.

Our colleagues moved from traditional species identification methods to DNA-based charophyte identification during their three-week visit. They had the opportunity to analyze the charophyte sequences obtained after the first visit in April. Also, eDNA extraction and PCR of a new set of samples have been processed. The NIVA expert, Dr Andreas Ballot, designed a comprehensive training program and oversaw the UB-ICTM team's activities. The first results and plans for writing the first publication were discussed with Dr Susanne Claudia Schneider.
