As part of the ICTM seminar series, a lecture entitled:

“Corn Processing Waste in Remediation: Comparing Biomass, Hydrochar and Biochar”

will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 12:00, in the ceremonial hall of ICTM (Njegoševa 12).

The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Marija Simić from the Institute for Technology of Nuclear and Other Mineral Raw Materials (ITNMS), Belgrade.

The lecture focuses on the potential use of corn processing residues for environmental remediation. A comparative analysis of different materials: raw biomass, hydrochar, and biochar will be presented, with emphasis on their physicochemical properties, adsorption mechanisms, and potential applications in water and soil treatment.
