In January 2024, the evaluation of project proposals as part of the ICTM's internal call for innovative projects "Proof of Concept," was completed. This initiative aims to encourage innovative initiatives of the Institute's researchers.
The call was published on October 20, 2023, and was open until November 26, 2023. A total of 10 project proposals were received. On January 15, 2024, the evaluation was completed, and eight projects were approved for financing:
- Electrochemical sensor for detection of clonazepam and 7-aminoclonazepam. Project PI: Zorica Mojović
- Outdoor UV exposure sensor. Project PI: Zdravko Džambaski
- Network of silicon microchannels for atmospheric water harverster. Project PI: Milče Smiljanić
- Pesticide Removal through On-site Treatment with ElectroChemical Technology. Project PI: Filip Vlahović
- Sustainable approach for soil enrichment through the procesing of wastewater streams. Project PI: Mihal Đuriš
- Mercury Vapor Detector for Continuous Monitoring. Project PI: Milija Sarajlić
- Natural Mosquitoes Repellents. Project PI: Marija Mihailović
- Fabric softener with biocidal effect. Project PI: Marko Jonović

Financing of the projects is provided from the budget of the SAIGE project intended for ICTM activities in the process of institutional transformation. The SAIGE Project Management Unit supervised all processes and procedures related to the application and will oversee the monitoring and implementation of the projects. The SAIGE Project (Serbia Accelerating Innovation and Growth Entrepreneurship Project) is implemented and financed through the partnership of the Republic of Serbia, the World Bank, and the European Union. It supports the transformation of scientific institutes in Serbia with the aim
of developing and investing in science, technological development, and innovation.
