Dr. Susanne Schneider (NIVA, Norway), Dr. Frederic Rimet (INRAE, France), and Dr. Martyn Kelly (UK), together with BIOLAWEB researchers from UB-ICTM, spoke to Serbia's national media outlet RTS' Educational-Scientific Program (Edu global) who followed the summer sampling season of the BIOLAWEB project. Experts tried to explain the importance of lake monitoring and the basic concept of a new approach in biomonitoring based on environmental DNA, known as metabarcoding and highlighted its practical advantages. Also, our team explained directly on the field the process of sampling, filtering, and preparing the samples for metabarcoding analysis.
