CMT performs investigation, development and implementation of measurement instruments and lab equipment for automatic measurements simultaneously using a larger number of sensors, using cable network for communication, mostly computer networking (Ethernet).

CMT also performs research, development and implementation of wireless sensors and sensor networks. These sensors complement the range of industrial measurement instrument produced by the Centre and fit into the plans of the Centre to investigate sensors for environmental protection.
